How to support my blog

Hi! Yep, that’s me, Jane — a real human. I create my blog content myself, without GenAI.

Most of my content is available for free because this is the blog monetization model that works best for me.

So I don’t have much for you to buy, if anything. (I really hate blatant selling.)

Supporting my blog for free

Because I have display ads on my blog, more traffic = more income. Sharing my blog with other people is a great way to say thank-you without spending money on your part!

Share posts you like on social media, via email, on Pinterest — wherever you like to connect with people.

How I choose what to recommend

(No junk. No spam. No selling out.)

Affiliate marketing helps support this blog — but I’m pickier than a picky pad about what makes the cut.

What you can expect

Cosmetic bag, four makeup items, one hair item

  • Real talk only. I don’t recommend anything I wouldn’t genuinely use, love or feel good about sharing.
  • No gimmicky “must-haves”. If something feels spammy, overly trendy or like it exists just to sell, it’s a no from me.
  • Photos from my real life. I use my own pictures whenever possible. If I show it, I’ve likely used it. There may be instances where I share a pic and the background features something I haven’t used. I try to be careful about not doing that.

My own buying habits

You’ll find I do not actively recommend you buy all the things. That’s because I don’t, either.

I lean into conscious consumption, meaning I buy based on my values, needs and wants — but not to have everything.

I’m neither a maximalist nor a minimalist. I’m simply me. My life is lively.
