Honey Nut Cheerios have nuts in them. I read somewhere that they didn’t, but maybe I actually made a mistake in nutrition label-checking—which is weird, because I consider myself a bit of a pro nowadays.
Anyways, I’d like to eventually be able to make cereal, but it looks a bit tougher than making crackers or bread, so that’s a ways away. (It’s amazing what you can find on the Internet, from complex cookie recipe development tutorials to posts explaining exactly how different flours work.)
I really like eating cereal plain (i.e. without milk) a lot, and Honey Nut Cheerios taste great without milk—they’re sweet all on their own, and that’s one bowl less rice milk I use.
(Plus, I just like dry cereal, like, a lot.)
Mmm, warm honey!
