I’m clumsy on a regular basis, but yesterday it was taken to a new extreme. I’m still half here and half gone, so if this post doesn’t make sense, then it’s definitely clumsy itself. 😉
I was given the yucky-tasting Halcion to ‘relax and attempt sleep’. I think it’s annoying that they told me to do such, as I honestly don’t understand how one can “try” — and I’m almost certain she was referring to me relaxing moving-wise, which wasn’t something I could control considering they were tics without some kind of muscle relaxer. I don’t remember falling asleep, or receiving the IV sedation, or being moved to the other room, or asking, “Who are we visiting?” and Grandmama replying, “We’re home.” I also don’t remember changing my shirt, or laying down, but I remember that I had a bit of my smoothie. I don’t know if I got online during that time, either, and I’m honestly too lazy to check.
I quite like IV sedation.
Personally feeling as if I can move about normally and not being able to is a weird feeling. Even though I feel as if I can do anything (except cough, yawn, sneeze, drink, eat, touch my mouth/jaw, and sneeze), my body’s a bit too stiff for that, as if it’s fatigued.
I dislike that a dental assistant had said “no phone today” yesterday, as if I wasn’t allowed to operate it. I don’t talk on the phone. But I can’t not have my phone. It’s a paranoia and security necessity accompanied by major anxiety and the likelihood of a PTSD episode if I can’t have it near me/where I actually want it.[2. No, I’m serious. It’s either that or an unhealthy phobia.]
Now, I can’t quite sleep, and I’m considering playing Sims 3 — but I’m exhausted! I can’t sleep on my back without choking, but I can’t knowingly pass out on either side because I’m aware of the light blood taste that may get to the jaw against the pillow, or that I’m setting myself up for more hurting. 😐 I’m had this problem last time, but I dealt with it, and this is now and the present and I’m dealing with it again (and I just want it to be over now).

Hmm so you didn’t explicitly state this in your post, but I’m guessing you had some dental work done that required some drugs to sedate you & numb the pain. Ouch. Hope your wound heals up soon.
I thought you had trouble falling asleep (before reading about the dental assistant) thinking that maybe you had insomnia, so I was going to suggest looking into meditation. Don’t look at me like I’m a hippy! Meditation is a common practice to help free the mind of stress & toxic energy. It’s very relaxing & often practiced in yoga! Heck, it’s taught in yoga haha. But anyway, I hope you find a more suitable way to sleep on your sides without that metallic blood taste lingering in your mouth.
The Sims!!!! Haven’t played it in so long, but I want to so badly…I just have to study. 🙁 Just get some rest. Sleep is important!! Don’t listen to that dental assistant. Your phone is a nice distraction from the pain so have at it! But if the regimen for a faster healing process is sleep, you should definitely catch up on some zzZzzzz girly!
Feel better!! 🙂

They put me to sleep. 🙂 I had Halcion and was given IV sedation. Wisdom teeth removal D; It’s actually still just as horrible as my last dental extraction, and I’m so over dental work it’s not even funny. 😐
I’ve still been sleeping on my back, which is also uncomfortable. I’m looking forward to being able to sleep on my sides again! I miss it so much. I do have some insomnia, and a history of it; it’s off an on. I’ve never really tried meditation, though. 😮
OMG I have been sleeping! Every few hours or so, I get super tired again and have to sleep. I guess it’s the pain meds, the antibiotic and the fact that my immune system is probably overworking itself through allergies and healing my mouth (hence why my diet is currently totally allergy-free) combined that is exhausting me so much.
Thanks! 🙂

Oh. my.god. Screw that! You are very brave for even GOING to the dentist let alone having them work on your mouth! I am so scared of the day my wisdom teeth start to come through..
In other news, the post is actually hilarious in that, it feels like it was written on a whim but at the same time it’s structured haha.

Awww, feel better soon! Getting teeth worked on really hurts and is just plain inconvenient. Not sure why the hygienist felt like she needed to police your healing process though…

I HATE dentists. Major phobia. But something my mum said to me sticks and she said that with dentists, they only touch your mouth, nothing else. True, but I still hate them. Anyone who goes to one and doesn’t freak gets my respect…
I hate the blood taste, too. 🙁 I hope you get some sort of rest…

Dental work is the worse. I’ve never been sedated thought. The idea of it kind of scares me.
I hope you get to have some sort of good sleep sometime soon!
